Today I went to my grandmother's funeral, it was very nice and pretty and cozy, just my family there really. I felt overdressed though, when I was getting ready I was like oh I guess I should wear black? and then everyone else was like PATTERNS and COLORS and I was like lol shit. :( Then we had lunch at a rather faux-quaint little place whose high point was its applesauce. Yes. There was this orange-flavored panna cotta that was pretty good though. Pretty much the best part of the trip was listening to "Magic Dance" from the Labyrinth soundtrack on repeat on the way back for...almost an hour. Um. :D? /o\? I am the moast obsessed? /o\ /o\ /o\

I finally did that art challenge I created so long ago - I drew something I hate (a girl in my Latin class) in a medium I love (ballpoint pen). It is a strange medium to love drawing in, I know, but honestly I've done some of my favorite drawings with a crappy Bic. Anyway, here is my drawing. She may look vaguely Asian in that drawing, but I swear she is not. She's as blond and blue-eyed as can be. I dislike her because she is shrill and overbearing and rude and just generally unfriendly. :\

GameBoy music is so cool omg. All chiptune music is so cool tbh, Idc how terrible it is, it's cool.

I went to NYC today with my family and my aunt and uncle's family, and it was...surprisingly anticlimactic. We wasted the better part of the day standing in line to get to the top of the Empire State Building (FOUR HOURS STANDING IN LINE OMG ;___;) and...I can't really say the view was worth it. Idk. I'm uploading the pictures I took tomorrow, so you can see what it looked like, too.

Pretty much they're what one might expect of a band spearheaded by a guy named Ezra, and pretty much they're amazing. The boy's got one of the objectively worst voices I've ever heard, to be entirely honest, but somehow he makes it work (possibly through his powers of SHEER AWESOME) and I am completely in love. I wish that we could all just learn to roll with the punches and make the best of anything life throws our way, but I guess that's selfish of me. I did that ColorGenics profile thing and it's so true that I'm hesitant to share it.

While I find many of the things she's done unbearably pretentious and ~artsy~, I will admit that Keri Smith has a knack for the inspired. Her list of 100 things to do has some gems that seem like they could actually mean something. Here are the ones I chose:
36. Choose an object, draw the side you can't see.
40. Draw all of the things in your purse/bag.
41. Make a mini book based on the theme, "my grocery list".
